With a holistic and compassionate approach, Dr Deepti Prasad works in partnership with families to help them navigate complex challenges and find the right support. She understands that each child’s journey is unique, and takes time to listen, build trust, and work alongside parents, carers, and community services. She is committed to working collaboratively with local health providers, schools, and support services to ensure families receive the care they need—when and where they need it.

Key areas of interest include:

  • Child development – helping children and families understand developmental differences and supporting early intervention.
  • Adolescent and young adult mental health – providing a safe space for young people to talk about anxiety, depression, emotional wellbeing, and behavioural concerns.
  • Eating disorders – supporting young people and families through early stages, treatment, and recovery, in collaboration with specialist teams.
  • Family and domestic violence – offering a safe, confidential space and working closely with local services to support those affected.
  • Chronic conditions – managing long-term health issues like asthma, heart disease and diabetes in a way that fits with family life. And exploring lifestyle changes that are achievable 
  • Aboriginal health – committed to culturally safe, respectful, and strength-based care, in partnership with Aboriginal families and health workers.
